Treasure Island is in need of a bad updating, inside and out. They have revamped their outdoor Pirate Ship show for the worse, adding sexy pirate women and getting rid of the wonderful stunt men. Lines such as these are spoken during their show: "Ahoy, Ahoy!" yells one lady pirate. "A HOY???! I'm not a HOY!!" answers the other equally dumb blond... You get the picture.
I'm sorry, no matter how pretty these girls may be, see if you can stand there for more than five minutes! The pirate ships are impressive and run along a track under the water. It was so much better with the stunt men.
Treasure Island's only saving grace is that it is home to Cirque d Soleil's "MYSTERE". This is the first of the Cirque's to hit the Strip and the longest lasting thus far. It has proven over and over again that it can deliver quality
entertainment at reasonable prices and we have brought guests there repeatedly for those two reasons! SEE IT! Trust me, you will love it. There are no real bad seats in the house.
You can catch the Tram to the Mirage at "Ti" as they bill themselves on their new sign now. It is a short ride and saves some extra steps - which you will be greatful for later!
